TECHNICAL REPORT :

Insects's Traps for monitoring the phytophagoes insects.

CHARACTERISTICS :

Controltrap is a roof-trap to monitor Lepidopterans, Dipterans and other noxious insects and these traps insects may be used not only in the open country but also in the closed premises, such as: stables, silos and foodstuffs' storage. Namely, thanks to its size, the Controltrap is very versatile and it may be considered a universal trap. It is made in plastic material and inside there is a replaceable adhesive support. The Controltrap works by a dispenser, which is put inside, and thanks to its attractive it persuades the insect, to go near the trap, where it remains glued definitively.

INSTRUCTION FOR USE :

Assemble the trap following the instructions written on the package. Put the dispenser containing the attractive in the proper compartment. In the open country put the trap high above, in the closed premises, above the foodstuffs where there is possible to change the air. Fix it in the stablest way, avoiding that it may be moved by the wind. Caution: if used improperly these insects's traps may become dangerous.

FIELD OF APPLICATION :

The Controltrap may be used for monitoring Lepidopterans and Dipterans and other noxious insects. Namely a reduced quantity of traps for each unit of surface allows to monitor the insects's population in order to establish if and when intervene. Compared to the Lepitrap 1, the Controltrap is more selective and careful, but it captures less insects. These insects's traps are high specific and are used as monitoring traps by the researcher.
